Noon Meeting News – April 18, 2017 – Centerville High School Theatre Group

Phather Phil’s Prayer

Heavenly Father we pray that the Lenten days have brought us closer to You. Thank You for the many blessings we have received, especially those that our egos have claimed. May we have greater appreciation of Your love and grace by Your Son’s death on the cross. May we have the courage to
pass on Your love to others and be truly Your disciples. For those who don’t know, if they don’t like Jesus, be rest assured the devil will always take them back. Amen!

Today’s Speaker

Several wonderful senior students from Centerville High School put on a wonderful presentation reflecting what their spring musical, Anything Goes, is about. They sang us a couple of the songs such as “I Get A Kick Out of You” and “It’s De-Lovely”. The show looks like it could be a fun way to spend a Friday or Saturday evening, so if you’re interested in going to see it there will be four performances:

April 21 & 22 @ 7:30 pm April 28 & 29 @ 7:30 pm.

Tickets can be purchased during the high school’s lunch hours, on the CHS website with PayPal, or there are cash sales at the door the night of the performance.

New Member Readings and Inductions

None this week

Sergeants at Arms

Member Infraction
Bob Foster Fined for wearing flip flops to lunch
Bill Stone Delivered his bride to the front door and then just drove off
Dr. Dan Passidomo Too bad, he left early – so he wasn’t fined. (we’ll catch up with him next week)
Jane Fiehrer Grabbing a piece of candy at the door was ok, but then you went back for more and claimed it was for the people at your table. Table probably never saw that candy
Bob Burkman There was Avenue of Flags mail returned to the club’s PO box. Tisk tisk.
Jerry Stahley Jerry’s phone must have auto dial problems because some members received calls from him and no one was there; he claimed he has a bad phone
Paul Stull It must be an age thing, because usually you sit near the entrance and today he is on the opposite side of the room
Chris McAlpine Must know his guest pretty well if he has to ask her how to pronounce her name
Judy DeMarco Is Bob Foster here or not?  (She nominated him for the Board and he was nowhere to be found to accept said nomination)

 Happy Bucks!

No Happy Bucks this week so the CHS Theatre Group had time to entertain us – and did they ever!
