- Community Work
The Noon Optimist Club of Centerville consistently gives back to the Centerville and Washington Township community in order to improve the quality of life. We have a variety of programs that appeal to many different types of people. Members have the opportunity to participate in one of the largest and most active civic clubs in Ohio and the United States. There is something available for all members: hands-on work with youth at our fishing derby, safety on wheels bike rodeo, Tri-Star Soccer and Basketball events; fund raising with our Tee Off for Youth Golf Outing, Christmas Tree Sales and Avenue of Flags program; fun and learning with our weekly lunches including interesting speakers; community awards for law enforcement, fireman, oratorical and essay contests and scholarship programs. The club's continuing success depends upon our members and their involvement. Our most precious resource is our youth. Bringing out the best in kids assures that our communities and nation will be in good hands in a few years. That is why we work closely with Dayton Children's Medical Center's Oncology/Hematology Group where we can count the ways we help children. If you are ready to utilize your unused or unrecognized talents, perhaps it is time for you to give back to the community. The Centerville Noon Optimist Club stands ready to welcome you and assure that you can help our community prosper and become a better place to live, work and play. We are "friends of youth."
