Christmas Tree Sale
The annual sale of Christmas trees by our Club is our biggest fundraising effort of the year. Beginning
with the setup of the lot in early November and continuing until clean up after Christmas, this activity
requires the involvement of all Club members. In addition to lot setup and clean up, cashiering and
selling trees are the major duties for members at the tree lot.
In conjunction with the Fishing Derby in June we set up a refreshment stand and sell hot dogs and brats
along with soft drinks. Not designed to be a fundraiser, it helps to offset the cost of running the
derby.
Our Club sponsors a Root Beer Float Stand for both the Arts Festival at Stubbs Park in late June and
the 4th of July Americana Festival. About 25 Club members are needed to staff the stand in one-hour
shifts throughout the day. These events are fun and a great way to meet many of your neighbors and enjoy
the festivals.
Our second largest fundraising event is the Tom Frazier Tee-Off for Youth scramble golf outing held
in July. Club members are needed to participate in the various planning committees, which begin their
work nine months prior to the tournament. Over twenty-five members are needed on tournament day to assist
in a variety of tasks including helping with the children’s event in the morning, registration, prize
competitions, a luncheon cookout, and dinner. Various sponsorships are available and all Club members
are encouraged to enter a foursome in the tournament. Our newest fundraiser is a patriotic activity which also promotes neighborhood identity and pride. On five flag holidays (Memorial Day, Flag Day, July 4th, Labor Day, and Veterans Day) our Club volunteers place a 3’x5’ American flag on a 10’ pole in the front yard of homeowners in our community who subscribe to the program. When neighbors combine together an "Avenue of Flags" is created in their neighborhood on those flag days. To sign up Click Here!
